Is a homeowner eligible for the tax credit if he is only replacing a section of his house roof instead of the entire roof such as: -Replacing a dormer roof -Replacing a patio roof that is enclosed with a heated room inside.

George, If it is part of the primary residence, I see no problem with it. If it is separate from the house (like a garage that is freestanding) it would be more questionable.
