Could someone explain to me how to put a roof cap for a bath fan on a metal roof. My roof is the Galvanlume panels that are 36" wide with a ridge every 9 inches. I've looked for a cap for a metal roof, but can not find anything. Does anyone have any ideas about this. I have a Broan 636 vent cap, but sure how to put it on a metal roof.

Roy, You will do this much like you would flash around a chimney. The Broan 636 is installed first, metal roofing next, then metal flashings last. when installing the metal roofing, don't fasten down the areas around the vent cap until you put down the metal flashings. Send me an email and I can send you a guide showing how to do this. [email protected]
