will walnuts falling from tree over roof damage the metal roof also what about hail

Depends on the size of the hail. Many metal roofs have Class 4 impact resistance, however, that does not necessarily translate to not denting.

One thing you may want to consider is the heavily textured metal roofs which will guard against indentation and also mask indentation.
