I would like to build a roof over my woodpile which I stack next to my barn, under the gable end of the barn, so no snow sheds off the barn roof onto the woodpile. The area for the woodpile extends to 84" from the wall. What pitch would I need with metal roofing so that snow would shed fairly easily from the roof? Is there a particular type of affordable metal roofing material that would allow the snow to slide off most easily? Thanks for your help.
