Has anyone ever dealt with excessive vibrations occurring as a result of heavy traffic nearby? It appears that the fasteners are backing out. Is there any literature that would support this?

Can say that I have ever seen or heard of that. That must be some significant vibration. Screws would not back out nor should a ring shank nail.

USUALLY SCREWS BACKING OUT IS DUE TO EXPANSION AND CONTRACTION OF THE METAL I WOULD RECOMMEND SEEKING OUT A BETTER QUALITY SCREW.
