We are industrial insulation contractors, and sometimes we insulate very large outdoor storage tanks. Thes tanks may be 60 or more feet in diameter and more than 50 feet in height. I'm interested in what you might call "cross over technology" or ways to apply roofing materials and techniques to these tanks. In particular to the tops of these tanks. Picture the big oil tanks you've probably seen all over. Often these tanks are filled with water or various products or fuel and heated and insulated to maintain a desired temperature. The insulation needs protection from the weather. Right now in CT we have a 45' high by 42' diameter tank to insulate. Any ideas would b appreciated, in fact maybe it would be a niche someone from outside our area might want to explore. Please contact me if you have info or ideas. Thanks, Greg
