Need to replace my corrugated plastic shed type roof over screened in porch. Too hot in summer here in S.C. and thinking about possible glassing in of porch also.
Contractor recommended aluminum roof with 3" or more of insualtion sandwiched in between the aluminum panels. Present shed type roof has 18" drop over 12' so 1.5:12 pitch. He says no problem with pitch.
Can you please give me some ideas about amount of insulation for two diffrent scenarios: 1 = just putting an aluminum roof and keeping screened porch. 2= glassing in porch for 3 season maybe 4 season use.
