Gentlemen, I noticed some more rust stains on my wood-burning stove where it leaked. This took place where he stove-pipe exits the metal roof. There is a large gasket that you screw to the roof and it has a cut-to-fit rubber piece that goes around the flue-pipe. Since the metal roof is an R-Panel type, the gasket was screwed to the ridge piece as well as the flat surfaces. Does this make sense? Looking for some recommendations on caulking material that will help to seal any and all crevices, gasket and other to seal this up once and for all. Any other advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your help and experience. Best regards, tstex

I would suggest a tripolymer butyl sealant. Todd Miller
