Treating copper flashing

How can I GET that green patina..I've had my copper flashing for approx. 8 years and still just have a slight green and a rather dull look...you'd never know it was there. I've heard that uric acid will do the trick but where do I find it? Thanks, H.P.

A Google search for something like "copper patina chemical" should yield several possibilities. There are several chemicals marketed for that purpose. I do not believe that uric acid is what you're looking for. Todd Miller
