There are coatings marketed for protecting copper and keeping it shiny. An internet search can find some options. Additionally, linseed oil has been used for this purpose. However, there are difficulties in applying and maintaining these coatings. For that reason, the Copper Development Association does not recommend the use of any such coatings on exterior applications.
