I am fixing to put a 29 gauge metal roof on my house which currently has two layers of shingles on it. They are in good shape and do not leak. I plan on putting 30# felt as an underlayment for the steel. Does this seem appropriate? The pitch is 4 and I plan on having the metal layed over the felt with no purlings. Will this work? Thanks, Mike

Check with whatever manufacturer of metal that you decide on as to what their specific requirements are, however, it should work. Eric Novotny
