I am trying to find what kind of metal roofing was used in the 1840's. I am bidding against wood shake on a Historical Preservation. I am finding little info on what was available at that time and what is a replacement today.

Most of the metal roofs from that era would be standing seam, or possibly diamond shaped metal shingles, more likely in copper or zinc.
