eleminating roof vents

Hello i am going to put a metal roof on my home i will most likley be using r panels my question is can i roof over the roof vents? and the sewer vents.i will be going over asphalt shingles,using 1x4 purlin and vented ridge cap.sofit is vented.thanks

Sewer vents and other vents are designed to vent above the roof line. I would not recommend trapping those gases and vent fumes inside the airspace between the roof deck and the R panels. Eric Novotny
