small bumps from fasteners?

I had a standing seam roof put on recently. The panels are 12" wide. When looking up at the roof there are occasional small bumps in the flat area of the panel between the standing seams. I think they are caused by some fasteners they used to hold down the self adhesive water and ice barrier. The fasteners are a small nail with a large plastic washer. My thought is the self adhesive material is meant to be put down without fasteners to keep just this problem from happening. Should these fasteners have been used? Will they cause a problem? To me it is asthetically wrong even if it will not cause a problem. Other then that the roof looks great.

As long as they do nt pierce through the metal panel from someone walking on them, they should be okay. Todd Miller
