I've had a metal 3’ profile roof (18' x 10') fitted to our detached garage. The underside of the roof is extremely wet to the point it drips continuously. We have recently removed the eaves fillers to allow air in but this doesn’t seem to help much. We don’t have the option to lift the roof and insulate but could fit polystyrene underneath albeit not under the rafters. Will this stop the wetness?

If you coul;d combine insulation with a vapor barrier (polyethylene) and still leave the vented airspace you should be okay. Todd Miller

Thanks, when you say "with a vapor barrier (polyethylene)" do you suggest something like a pond liner between the metal roof and the polystyrene?
