I would like to know if the industry standard on installation of metal roofing panels reccommends installing full lengths or piecing them to save material? I have a four-sided roof of which two sides were installed as full lengths and two sides were pieced many times to make the full length in a run. I have as of yet to locate one other home done this way

Some products are designed to allow seams and others are not. Generally speaking though I would say that if panels can be installed without horizontal seams that is best.

Take the metal roof for two sides, and cut the metal according to roof size. Use nail guns to protect the roof, place the metal roof clearly, use the nailguns to protect the roof.
