We have vertical pannel metal roof on our home. Their are many peaks and valleys on the roof. We also get many ice dams and lots of snow build up. We have to pull the now down and then shovel it away. Is there some sort of heat coil or melting device that can be used with this type of roof to avoid this problem?

There are heat tapes that could be used at the bottom of the roof. Raytheon is a manufacturer still I believe. Todd Miller
