Concern about Walking on Roof

Hi I have a spanich tile metal roof. I purchased this home after the roof had been installed, and don't know the typeof tile these are. They appear to be relatively thin, relatively soft panels, formed into a tile section that incorporates a sheet of tiles. In other words, they aren't individual tiles. The tiles look to be fairly soft and look as though they would collapse if stepped upon, very similar to steppng on the side of a soda can laying on the ground. I am very concerned about this. I have a need to do some work on the roof and don't know how to instruct the workers on how to walk on this roof. Can you help? Thanks in advance Joe

My best advice would be to secure walkboards on the roof, with some sort of heavy thick foam behind them as a cushion. Todd Miller
