What causes a metal roof to "Stripe" - (being able to see lathing)

I have see some roofs that were wither lathed with 1x4's or some form of lathing and over time, you can see the lathing. I have even seen in the early morning how the condensation on theroof is different on the lathing. Do you think if the underlayment was applied on top of the lathing, it would still do this? Thanks Eric

It is just the temperature differential caused by the strapping. I doubt underlayment would make much difference. Todd Miller

It must be pretty significant to make the metal fade differently on the strapping? We also sale some of the reflective bubble insulation and I wonder if that might help....
