i just built an new home and put the perma tile roofing system on the roof over 30 lb felt. the material manufacturer referred a roofing contractor to me. the roofing contractor did a very shoddy job and i have three roof leaks. i let the contractor start and finish without obtaining his insurance information. do i have any recourse against the manufacturer since he did refer to roofer to me? also, are you able to recommend another roofer in south florida to help me resolve my problem. thanks

You can use the Find A Contractor section of this website to locate experienced metal roofing installers in your area. Most manufacturer warranties do not cover installation workmanship. However, I would hope that, by contacting the manufacturer, you can obatin their assistance and support in remdeying the situation. Todd Miller

unfortunately my manufacturer has not been willing to help me with this situation. i am so disgusted with the roof that i may tear it off and replace with shingles.

I understand your frustration. I am sorry about that. If you have some photos of the roof areas in question that you could email to me, perhaps I can do some troubleshooting and maybe even hook you up with an experienced metal roofing contractor to do the repairs. My email is [email protected] I will be out of the office on Wednesday though. Todd Miller
