I recently purchased an old home in PA. The metal roof does not have any issues, but their is no insulation on the roof at all. Only the metal roof and the wooden joints supporting it. Would Polyisocyanurate Rigid Foam Insulated Sheathing and Double-Sided Radiant Barrier help with insulation and condensation concerns?

My suggestion would actually be to increase insulation on the attic floor, add a vapor barrier if possible there, and increase ventilation in the attic. Todd Miller

Then the insulation layer at that point is the roof deck and you much have something similar to what is proposed. Eric Novotny
