Does a black metal roof make it hotter in the house during the summer?

Lighter colors are always more reflective. However, many metal roofs, including those in black, have reflective pigment to help keep the attic cooler. Also, many times you can combine the metal roof with enhanced ventilation to help energy efficiency. And many of the shake and tile profile products have built in airgaps that help with efficiency.
