My neighbor installed unpainted galvalume last fall. Unfortunately, at this time of year, at midday, his roof reflects the sun straight into our house. It hurts the eyes to look at. He has agreed to paint the worst part of the roof a dark color. What is the best way to go about this?

Clean well. Spray on a primer. Allow to dry. Spray on a top coat. The current shininess will diminish over time as the metal weathers and also as normal dirt and dust accumulate. Todd Miller
