To whom it may concern;
Indiana is using the 2003 International Residential Code. Table R905.10.3 Metal Roof Coverings...
Says that prepainted steel roofing shall comply with ASTM a755. There doesn't seem to be an ICC evaluation report that covers metal roof panels. I am wondering if you have any advise about enforcement?

That is an ASTM having to do with the production of the steel itself. My gut feeling is that most products will meet it.
Individual products should carry ICC reports.
Additionally, you can ask whether products meet the requirements of Metal Construction Association's certified metal roofing panel program.

Mr. Miller
I have tracked down the standard, it's for the Paint or other organic coating. I also was able to contact the specific Manufacturer of the product and as you mention they were able to provide me with the desired information.
What really drags my a** is the attitude of the big box store toward the stuff they handle: "Oh we just sell the stuff we don't worry about instllation or Product Listing or Labeling, it's up to the customer to know what he's doing." Well He** whatt am I do to? Note a violation 'cause someone is too lazy to get some paper work, and then force a tear-off, not very helpful to the builder either!
O.K. shouldn't blow off at you, but the big boxes are just an Inspector's bane.
