I agreed to replace the roof of my mother-in-law's shed without knowing what I was getting into. It's a single-pitch roof of about 3/12, on a shed that is about 10x14, but 3 walls are stone and it really has no right angles anywhere. She has her heart set on a metal roof. I need to know if I should space the rafters the same as I would for a plywood and shingle roof. I wish i'd known she wanted this before I agreed to do it!

I would suggest doing it the same and in fact putting down plywood and underlayment before the metal roofing.
