Anyone having the problem I am as documented on this page. Permanent Roofing Systems shingles' paint is coming off after 2 years. They are not honoring their warranty. http://www.dancingbearakitas.com/prs_roofing_system.htm

Your link did not work but I was able to get their from your home page. This is an unusual failure and at first glance does appear to me to be related to a pre-treat or primer issue with the paint. If you can remove a panel, PRS should be able to have it analyzed by their paint or coating supplier in order to determine the cause of the failure. There are also ways to get this testing done by a third party. Todd Miller

If they are not responding, you may need to have an attorney contact them. Todd Miller

First they ignored my emails. Finally they responded. They wanted me to tear up shingles and send them for analysis, but never got back to me with a metal/pain expert. I am hesitant to compromise the roof. The auto collision instructor at the school I work at says something was splashed on the shingles before painting. The fact that in no instance does the splatter continue on the roof to a shingle beneath a damaged one (damage stops suddenly at the bottom lip, tending to indicate that the splatter did not happen on the roof. I am in USA, they are in Canada, so legal action is likely not worth it. They are not honoring their warranty. Our plan is to spray the back of a shingle with an etching primer (which is a close match to the finish color), and let this test shingle sit out in the weather this winter to see what happens. Assuming it holds, I will repaint the mess while still on the roof with a touch up gun. The roof was not designed just for me. I was not the first do do a dome with these shingles. I just got screwed with a bad batch of shingles. Heartbreaking, given the time involved in completing the job. The flashing design for these was the best I could find. Unfortunately, the finish did not last over a year.
