Double check with your tax specialist but to the best of my knowledge there is no connection between the two Todd Miller

I want to replace a flat roof on a single story home with a tall metal roof and my main question is the bearing load, I know if this were going to be built out of regular materials I would have to install new bearing posts inside the home and also new footings, so what would the difference be as opposed to a new metal roof ? I am very serious abot making this change, thank you. chris

I am not sure I am qualified to answer this. It seems to me you will need to choose a product, determine its proper installation, figure out the total weight and then have an engineer determine what is necessary. Metal is pretty low weight in comparison to other systems so that should help. Todd Miller
