I have an 11 year old blue metal roof. In the past 4-5 years I run small sprinkler lines on
the roof to cool the roof/attic/house in the hot summer months. Yes it will cool
sufficiently, roof temperature is around 155F, attic about 135F but while the fine mist
sprinkler is on attic temperature drops to around 95F.
I am using clean irrigation water that coming from a very clean lake. The problem is that
this water left an unwanted chalk residue on the roof that I would like to remove. Is any
good solution would clean off this chalky powder mess?
