I am considering metal but have one spot in prticular which could be a problem. Where I live we have hard winters. This year we reached over 200 inches of snow. I have a spot which does not recieve much sunlight. But the area above it does. The snow melts and the freezes again and will eventually back up 4 maybe 6 ft. to compund matters there is another roofline and a valley which will be at this location. Question is how can this be sealed?

Are you sure the melting is not due to heat from inside the home escaping? How are your ventilation and insulation in this area? Todd Miller
