Are there any industry or governmental standards on the amount of residual oil that can be left on rollformed products used for roofing? Are there any movements underway to establish such limits?

There are no current guidelines or regulations for this affecting residential metal roofing. However, several manufacturers have signed a voluntary agreement to minimize or eliminate the use of forming lubricants in their production processes.
