What metal roofing options do I have to make a transition from a 4/12 to 1.5/12 roof slope and prevent a seam where ice can cause a leak at this slope transition?

You really need to identify the type of system you are referring to. If you have chosen a vertical seam panel, is it through fastened or a standing seam ( concealed fastener)? As most panel sytems can transition, then I assume that you have selected a vertical seam. Most manucaturers have transition pieces/trims specific to their product and details to follow. As such the first thing to do is contact the manufacturer of the product you have chosen.
