I have an ice dam around the perimeter of my 1980's era single wide. Last year we were away and came home to the bedroom and living rooms flooded, ceiling material and water in the middle of my bed and the like. we reinsulated the areas, checked for leaks in the roof, repaneled the ceiling and thought that was it. Right now I am watching water drip into a bucket in my LR and a brown spot on the bedroom ceiling!! I have raked the roof but the ice is bsd, using sn ax breaks shingles, now what? How do I prevent ice dams for the rest of this season, I will install the coils/tape in the spring for next year?!

The problem is probably more related to lack of ventilation than anything. Todd Miller
