This sort of information would need to come from the individual roofing manufacturer. There are many styles and designs of metal roofing, each would somewhat have its own requirements in regards to skylight installation.
Basically, any skylight up on a curb can be flashed around though. The flush mounted skylights are not something I would suggest for metal roofing.

We manufacture our own flashings for skylights to match the roof we are putting on. Your contractor should do the same.
For over 36 years we have done metal and shingles, and a lot of both, metal is better.

Wade
I actually install with success as far as the skylights not leaking.
I have installed new velux skylights with their manufactured flashing kits...UGLY! I order flat sheets and bend a side wall type flashing and then notch to fit tight over the ribs and finish with the proper butyl sealant. This is classic rib ag panel. Just wondering if there was a different way this was done. My response to going back to shingles was just a way to get a response back I am pro metal in every way
Thanks

I Have a slitter and slit my blanks to width. I am also working on a puch machine to notch the flat sheets to fit the ribs before I fold them. So yes it it much cleaner.
