THERE IS NO RUST INVOLVED IN THIS SITUATION; JUST THERE ARE PLACES ON THE ROOF THAT WERE TOUCHED UP WITH TOUCH UP SPRAY AND IT LOOKS SPOTTY IN SOME PLACES..IT IS A LITTLE FADED.
WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE BEST WAY TO PAINT OVER THE WHOLE ROOF AND WITH WHAT PROCEDURE AND WHAT TYPE OF PAINT THAT WILL LAST THE LONGEST WITHOUT CHIPPING WITH THE SUMMER HEAT. PLEASE LET US KNOW THE LIFE OF THIS TYPE OF PAINTING.

Here is my suggestion -- if the original finish is still in good shape except for the touched up areas, why not try to remove the touch up? A little Soft Scrub and water may take it off ... or you could try some solvents just making sure not to use one that damages the original paint.
