Out contractor recently installed a standing-seam metal roof on our house over a fifteen year old asphalt roof. 1. He removed the old vents for the space between the insulation and the decking, and did not install any new vents on the metal roofing. Is this normal? 2. The bathroom exhaust fan vents now discharge into the space between the old roof and the new roof. Is the recommended?

This is very unusual, will probably cause a problem over time, and is in violation of the International Building Code.
