I had heard that there are government incentives available for installing a metal roof. Is this the case?

Lori, Included in the financial bailout package are incentives for installing Energy Star rated metal roofing. These incentives will be for roofs installed in 2009. See: http://www.energystar.gov/index.cfm?c=products.pr_tax_credits (copy and paste into top address bar) Basically it is a tax credit for 10% of the material cost, up to $500 Again only if it is installed in 2009 can this tax credit be taken. In my opinion it is one of the best things that came out of this whole bailout thing. :)

Thanks Nate. Also, these are not government sponsored but in some areas utility companies will give rebates for buying a reflective metal roof. Todd Miller
