do we remove the shingles when adding the porch roof?

We are adding a porch with a roof which will attach to our mobile home we are now on the roof and need to know where we tie it in at do we need to remove the preexisting shingles on my home or do we just go over them

Do you mean that you intend to re-roof the entire thing? Have you selected a product? Do you know that it is suitable for the pitch of your roof? What is the pitch and what product will you be installing. The answer to your question depends on all of these things. Todd Miller
