We are installing a metal deck, over bar joists, 2 layers of rigid board, an ice/water shield then Batten Lok standing seam roof panels. Question: Is there a fastener pattern we should adhere to for the rigid board? Any ideas of the pattern to use? Thank you.

That's a good question; I've been thinking about that also. One would think that a minimum amount would be necessary (just to keep the boards from shifting) because of all of the fasteners that hold down the panels. The only potential problem would be a high wind condition before you got the panels down.
