I am considering replacing shingles with a new tin roof. I want to know what should I put down before I put my new tin roof on? Also, do you recommend using fellt paper on my roof?

I personally always suggest underlayment -- either one of the new synthetics or 30 pound felt. Ice and watershield as required by code. A very few metal roofs must be installed on battens. Some metal roofs cna be installed on battens or solid deck. Always adhere to manufacturer instructions. Todd Miller
