standing seam metal roof- snow shedding into valleys

Guest User
i live in truckee, ca where we get a good amount of snow. i have a standing seam metal roof (pic attached) with a 3 and 12 pitch, i believe. my problem is that snow sheds into the valleys and builds up. i am sure this is a common problem. the snow load begins to bow the roof and faschia. i am considering either heat tape or snowguards, any suggestions, insight, etc

Heat tape could be helpful. That is a tough situation though. Making sure you have good attic insulation and ventilation, keeping the attic very cold, could be helpful as well.

thank you for the reply. the attic is very well insulsated to keeps cold. do you think snowguard/snowfence would help?
