Steel roof on several farm buildings sustained white marks from supposably hail. There was no denting. Did the hail take off any protective coating that was on the metal roof sufface such as a galvanized coating? Did this shorten the roof's life span or is this just a cosmedic issue.

This probably does indicate damage to the cl;ear acrylic coating on the panels which does provide some degree of corrosion resistance. Todd Miller
