I have a lead canopy over my bay window which i have had for 25 years. I'm just wondering if there are ways to clean it. Over time the colour has become uneven and there are stains. I can't find any information on this topic and am hoping you can help. Do you recomend any solution? Or is it a lost cause?
just a thought what about sanding with a mild sand paper ???? would this hurt?????

If it is lead, it will be solid through so you could sand it without causing any damage. You might want to try some of the commercially available metal (copper, brass) cleaners as well. Really, if this is lead, there is not much you can do to hurt it I don't believe.
