I am self-building a micro-cottage out of block. The outside dimensions are 23-8-4 by 19-9-6. There are no interior load bearing walls. I am not using any materials that a termite can eat. I am considering options for the roof. Metal is high on my list. I would like to know about building my own trusses. What are my options for materials? I am particularly interested in information about welding up rebar trusses. What is the typical attachment method for metal roofing? Thanks in advance.

It depends upon the exact metal roof profile but many can be installed over horizontal purlin spaces often 24" apart.
