We have installed a radiant barrier decking and are still laying down decking, almost ready for the felt and shingles. But in this scorching Texas heat the radiant barrier is cooking our "buns" so to speak. Any suggestions to avoid burning ourselves?

The foil side goes down. If it is cooking you, I can only assume you are installing it with the foil side up.

I agree but to a large degree even foil side down will make the decking hotter. This is why asphgalt shingle manufacturers do not like their products installed in conjunction with radiant barriers. Todd Miller
