We are repairing our front porch which has a flat roof. Would it be all right to use stainless steel as the roofing material? We need to get our there in the winter time and push the snow off. There is not enough room to make the roof slope.

If it is flat I wouldn't use any kind of metal.

I agree. There are metal roofing systems that do down to a 1/4:12 pitch, but completely flat roofs are usually better suited by rubber roofing.

About your only option for metal on a truly flat roof would be something with soldered seams.
