WHAT BAD THINGS HAPPEN IF METAL ROOFING IS INSTALLED DIRECTLY ON THE EXISTING SHINGLES? DOES APPLYING 1/4 STRIPS INCREASE CONDENSATION, IF SO WHAT PROBLEMS DOES CONDENSATION CAUSE?

There are some metal roof types more appropriate for installing over existing shingles than others. Generally, the heavier formed products are more appropriate for this. Also, some metal roofs can be installed over battens, some cannot, and some must be.
In other words, the best advice is to choose a metal roof you like and then work with the supplier to determine its proper installation method.
