I have a 50 year old house with a 2-12 pitch and 2X6 tongue and groove ceiling. We are replacing the composition roof with a metal roof and wanted to insulate for better energy savings, but we are worried about potential moisture problems. What is the best/correct way to insulate and what questions should the contractor be able to answer so that I know he understands the process? Thanks.

Do you have an attic space and if so is it vented? What type of metal roof do you plan to install?
