David, It depends on the type of standing seam. A 3" trapezoidal, mechanically seamed panel is supposed to be water tight on a slope as low as 1/4" fall per foot. There are other type panels and it depends on how high the seam is. There are several manufacturers on this website and you can click on their icons and read their data to find what you need.
