On beaded metal roof panels, should the screw fasteners be installed through the "crown" of the bead? Some installers prefer to install the screws in the "flat" of the panel. Which is recommended?

I would suggest posing this question to the manufacturer of the panel you choose to make sure that you follow their prescribed procedures. However, generally, you would fasten using screws with neoprene washers through the "crowns" or high spots on the ribs. To simplify this, turn the panels upside down prior to installation and pre-drill the holes. Todd Miller
