IBC Code Requirements for Tested Assemblies

There is a specific section of the IBC that states that a non-structural metal roof assembly shall be a tested assembly. A sales representative claims that this would rule out all roof manufacturers (except his and one other System) in being able to comply with this particular requirement, since the 2 systems noted are the only manufacturers that have a system that includes the steel structural deck, the insulation, and the metal roof covering. I disagree - I find that this summation is not the intention of the Code. Please tell me what you think.

This sounds like it is for a low slope assembly which I am not familiar with but I still believe they are misinterpreting the code. Todd Miller
